Every now and again you come across an accessory that catches your eye!  Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s perfectly imperfect.  Case in point is the Moe Black & White Ceramic Vase from CB2.

In case you’re not familiar with the brand, CB2 was founded as a fellow brand of Crate & Barrel in 2000 and has 24 stores across U.S. and Canada.  Its product assortment features coveted high-design furniture and home decor collections crafted from premium materials and leans more contemporary than Crate & Barrel’s style.

CB2.com describes the vase as, “Full, round black and white ceramic vase is an ideal holder for large blooms. Crafted of liquid clay, each piece is decorated, glazed and finished by hand in Portugal.  Due to this individualized craftsmanship, each piece will have slight variations that make it one-of-a-kind. CB2 exclusive.”

I used one of these as a dramatic, statement piece in a client’s home in Bull Valley.  (PS…  I actually came across one when I was “go finding” at a local discount retailer, even though it’s a current item on the CB2 website.)

And yes, it’s perfectly OK to uses vases as decor without putting anything in them.  I love the dimpled side, rough texture and striking black and white color which makes this vase (and many others) a piece of art just as much as a functional item.

All this and more makes the “Moe Black and White Ceramic Vase” one of my Favorite Finds!
