Whether you don’t have room for a curio, bookcase or etagere for display space or simply want something other than more artwork on your walls, “floating” (or hidden-bracket) wood shelves are the way to go. And let me tell you, not all are created equal!!!

One of my Favorite Finds for floating wood shelving are the ones from Rejuvenation. If you are unfamiliar with Rejuvenation, they are a Williams Sonoma (Pottery Barn) brand founded in 1977 that designs, manufactures, and sells home goods like lighting, hardware, and some furniture. While they only have 14 retail stores in major markets (as of this writing), they do offer online sales.

Their 2″ thick shelves come in a variety of finishes to coordinate with most common color palettes including (left to right below):
- Aged Oak
- White Oak
- White Ash
- Walnut
- Black Ash
In addition to multiple colors, the shelves also come in three different depths and widths making them a versatile addition in almost every space where floating shelves are the answer!

As anyone who has installed floating shelving will tell you, one of most important things that separates a good floating shelf from a bad one is the mounting hardware.
Rather than the cheaper versions on the market with flimsy brackets that bend or key-hole hangers (THE WORST!), these Rejuvenation shelves feature sturdy steel, peg-style brackets with multiple drywall anchors and screws for a secure mount.

Depending on the size, each shelf can safely support between 26 lbs. and 44 lbs. (per the website).
Set screws are also provided to hold the shelf in place on the bracket to further secure it in place.

So, if you’re in the market for floating shelves, look no further than one of Jeff’s Favorite Finds, the 2″ Floating Shelf from Rejuventation. While pricier than the competition, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of versatility, style and ease of installation.
