Interior Decorating
While we make the most of what you already have, our Interior Decorating Service also gives you the opportunity to replace old, worn-out, or outdated items, or simply add a few new ones. We collaborate with you to create a personalized vision for your space, tailored to you and your family. Then, we’ll help you source the perfect additions to bring your vision to life. With access to exclusive resources and discounts, we offer you an even greater opportunity for detailed space planning and a more cohesive design.
Whether your decorating project involves starting from scratch or just replacing certain items, we help you optimize your budget by sourcing items based on your style, plan, and budget.
Decorating projects may include one or more of the following: new wall colors, flooring, fixtures, finishes, window treatments, lighting, furniture, artwork, and accessories.
Interior Redesign
Our Interior Redesign service offers the “designer” look you’ve always wanted by reusing, repurposing, and restyling items from your home.
You might already have everything you need to create a stunning look for you and your family. Our Redesign Service maximizes your existing decor by reusing what’s on hand. If there are a few missing pieces, we’ll help you identify them and determine where to add them.
To complete your redesign, our team of well-trained and experienced professionals follows a tried-and-true system. First, we completely clear your space to better evaluate its hidden potential. Then, we reconstruct the room using a step-by-step process. The result is a more welcoming, beautiful, and functional space that reflects your family’s taste and lifestyle.

Real Estate Staging
Real Estate Staging goes beyond neutralizing, de-personalizing, and de-cluttering; it’s about “getting them in the door” by intentionally decorating to market and sell your home.
Our Staging Consultation provides direct, constructive feedback about your house, telling you what most buyers won’t. We then offer suggestions on how to highlight your property’s best features and enhance its visual appeal to attract the largest group of potential buyers.
Our Professional Staging Service, typically completed in one day, brings hands-on expertise to the process. Our team will implement everything covered during your consultation and more. By maximizing your existing decor, we put the finishing touches on your listing. Using many of the same techniques retailers use, our Professional Staging service ensures that the best aspects of your home are showcased and not overlooked.
Color Consultation
Choosing the perfect color story for your home is one of the most challenging decorating dilemmas homeowners face. Our Color Consultation service takes the guesswork out of this daunting task.
We help you select the ideal colors for your home and recommend the proper finishes and products to ensure the long-term health and enjoyment of your newly painted space. After your consultation, you’ll feel confident in the palette we’ve created, complete with complimentary large samples for your records or to share with family, friends, and contractors.

Why Choose Decor Designs?
Interior Design FAQs
First, the cost of hiring an interior designer can vary widely depending on several factors such as experience, location, scope of the project, and level of customization required. While every design professional sets his/her/their own pricing, here’s a breakdown of typical pricing structures:
- Hourly Rate: Many interior designers charge by the hour. Rates can range from $50 to $200 or more per hour, depending on their expertise and location. Keep in mind that some designers may also have a minimum number of hours required for a project.
- Flat Fee or Fixed Rate: Some designers prefer to work on a project basis and will charge a flat fee or fixed rate for the entire project. This fee is usually determined based on the size and complexity of the project.
- Percentage of the Project Cost: In some cases, designers may charge a percentage of the total project cost. This percentage typically ranges from 10% to 30%, but can vary depending on the designer and the specifics of the project.
- Consultation Fee: Some designers may offer an initial consultation for a set fee, which can range from $100 to $500 or more. This fee may or may not be applied towards the total cost of the project if you decide to hire them

With over 30 years of customer service and decorating experience, my other accomplishments include:
- I trained with the Staging & Redesign Academy completing Certifications in Redesign, Real Estate Staging & Color Specification.
- I served as Executive Member & Administrator for The Greater Chicagoland Decorators Coalition.
- I have a Certification in “Green” Interior Design from and have been a guest presenter at Chicago’s Center for Green Technology.
- I am a NINE time recipient of the Best of Houzz “Service” Award.
- My work has been featured in the Northwest Herald’s video series Restyle with Jeff & Judy as well as in From House to Home and Chicago Home Improvement magazines.
- I am an author and administrator for the The Decorating Voice Facebook page and am currently working on a new decorating advice blog.
