If there’s one thing I’m seeing more and more of in dining chair design, it’s movement.  And the Caster Curve Chair from Steinhafels is a perfect example.

I recently paired these chairs with the Leighton Round Extension Table from Arhaus and the combination proves how the right dining chairs can completely change the feel and functionality of a dining space.

The Caster Curve Chair has the soft, clean, contemporary lines that clients love.  There’s nothing fussy about it… no unnecessary details. Just a beautifully shaped chair that feels modern without screaming, “I am a modern dining chair!”  Each measures 25.0″W × 26.0″D × 33.0″H and will support up to 300 lbs.

Then, there are the hidden casters!  Yes, casters on dining chairs!  And once you have them, you may wonder why every dining chair doesn’t come with wheels.

Pulling up to the table is effortless.  No dragging, scooting or doing that awkward little chair shuffle we’ve all done while trying not to scrape the floor.  Just roll in, get comfortable and stay as long as you like.

The unique, curved shape also gives the chairs a softer look than many of the more structured contemporary options out there.  Paired with the round/oval Leighton table, the combination has a great balance of clean contemporary style and inviting comfort.

And that’s really what I look for in a Favorite Find… something that looks great, but works just as well.  Because a dining room isn’t just a showroom.  Family & friends actually have to sit in the chairs, move around, get up for seconds, scoot closer to the table.  And, of course, occasionally, push away from the table just a little more because the extra piece of cake was a terrible idea.

The Caster Curve Chair makes all of that a little easier while looking pretty darn good doing it.  (Just watch the kids… these things could make for some great racing on hardwood floors!)

My verdict?  This is one dining chair trend I’m happy to roll with and one of Jeff’s Favorite Finds!
