This week’s big Decorating project was the culmination of almost 6 months work for one the nicest couples I’ve met so far. This Fox River Grove home started it’s transformation last summer with a complete kitchen remodel. The couple invited me in during the construction process last fall to select a new color story for the first floor that would compliment the new kitchen. And as decorating projects often do, one thing lead to another. The new kitchen couldn’t really shine without updated surroundings. So, they set me to the task of giving each space its own identity and filling those spaces with the necessary furniture, art, window treatments and accessories to really compliment their taste and family lifestyle.
The Before pictures already feature the new color palette while the Afters include the finishing touches. With a mixture of family heirloom furniture and lots of new pieces, the end result is pretty amazing. During a tearful reveal my client said how amazed she was that her home could look like a “model” home and that she couldn’t be happier.
