What do you do for a 14 year old young lady’s bedroom when your only inspiration is a contemporary take on a quilted coverlet? Answer… Bohemian Chic!
While my client initially request a “beach themed” bedroom… I chose to guide her in a slightly different direction because of the brightly colored spread.
Before
We started by moving the bed out of the corner creating a focal point we could frame with repurposed decorator tables turned night stands and new matching lamps. Since the young lady needed a desk, we added a new teal blue desk and zebra-striped chair along with collage picture frames. New artwork and battery operated Japanese lanterns help add inexpensive drama. And a few bright accessories finish the space.

The end result is what I like to call “hug-worthy”!
